We were very interested in the house from the beginning and were looking forward to the application process accordingly. Unfortunately, this took almost eight weeks in total and was characterized by little transparent communication from our perspective. We were only able to meet the homeowner after about five weeks. Throughout the entire process, we had to inquire multiple times with the administration, as promised feedback was sometimes absent. A previously communicated decision date was also postponed at short notice. Despite multiple assurances of receiving a response in a timely manner, we had to follow up repeatedly and wait several days for feedback. It was particularly disappointing that we were only informed towards the end that other interested parties were initially being considered and references were still being obtained. This gave us the impression that we were merely being held as an alternative in case it did not work out with other applicants. After almost eight weeks, we finally received the rejection, as the owner had decided on another applicant. That an owner can freely decide whom to rent their house to is, of course, not up for discussion for us. What was disappointing was rather the long duration and what we consider to be insufficient communication throughout the entire process. Earlier and more transparent feedback would have saved us a lot of time and unnecessary waiting. Due to our personal experience with this application process, we unfortunately cannot recommend the administration.

We are disappointed with the entire handling and communication of this management. For eight weeks, we were repeatedly put off and kept waiting. Just in the last week, after several phone inquiries, we were once again reassured about an allegedly forthcoming decision, without ever being openly told where we stand. We were serious applicants with very good references, had already made positive contact with the neighborhood, and patiently supported the process. The disrespectful treatment is all the more incomprehensible. It would have been the least to honestly say whether we are still in the running or not, instead of leaving us in uncertainty for weeks. One reason given was that other applicants did not have a dog, even though pets were explicitly allowed. It was also mentioned that another couple comes from the region. This is also incomprehensible to us, as we ourselves grew up in the Zurich wine region. We are aware that the final decision may have rested with the property owner. All the more, we would have expected open, transparent, and timely communication from the management. Regardless of who decides in the end, applicants should be treated with respect and informed honestly. Waiting eight weeks for a decision and being continually put off is simply unacceptable for us. This is not how applicants should be treated. Ultimately, one only wants to live where one is also wanted.
