Location!
The flat is located just a quick 2-minute walk from tram stops Hedwigsteig and Wetlistrasse, and 4 minutes from bus stop Freiestrasse, making it easy to get around town.
Your room!
Your room is around 20 square meters in size and includes a window facing north. The flat is situated on the 2nd floor, it features a cozy living room, a kitchen, a bathroom, and a separate toilet. The living room is a shared space where we enjoy hanging out together. Extra convenient are the dishwasher, washing machine, and tumble dryer we have in the kitchen. We also have an amazing shared rooftop area overlooking the lake, perfect for an evening beer in the summer. For bike enthusiasts, a garage is available for storage.
Note: Please note that significant renovation work is scheduled for the building in spring 2026 (room available until 1 April 2026, possibly longer as it has been postponed before). The monthly rent for the room is 1200 CHF, with an additional 50 CHF for utilities.
If you're interested in coming to see the flat, please write a message describing a bit about yourself and we'll arrange a time for a visit. The room should be filled as soon as possible.
We are looking for:
Looking for an easy-going and interesting flatmate, preferably aged around 25-early 30s. It's perfect if you enjoy occasional chill dinners together, like doing some sports (hike, ski-day), or a spontaneous beer or board game, or checking out an interesting activity in the city.
A clean and orderly environment in the flat where everyone does their bit to help is important, so you should share those values.
About me/us!
This is a 3-person flat. Firstly, there is myself: Esbern. I am a 28-year-old Danish guy (grew up in UK). I speak English and Danish, and currently work at a renewable energy company near Zurich.
I love playing tennis, padel, and other sports (football, running etc.), watching football, hanging out by the lake and going on mountain hikes. I also enjoy exploring Zurich and Switzerland for hidden gems such as small beer breweries, little cafes or unknown mountain huts. In the winter I enjoy skiing, but I'm also happy to chill at home with a board game or cooking a nice meal. I travel quite a lot, either to go visit family or friends abroad, so I appreciate an international atmosphere and spontaneous activities. My schedule can vary quite a bit from week to week.
Your other flatmate will be Julius - a super cool and chill German guy who is moving to Zurich for work. Julius has lived abroad for many years so is accustomed to international environments. He will move-in in June, and he has loads of hobbies so you will definitely find something to do together with him!
If you think we would get along, then please get in touch! The room is available immediately.
I really look forward to hearing from you! :)
