The surroundings

Wollishofen is located on the left bank of Lake Zurich and is a beautiful district known for its two riverside parks, the Landiwiese and the Saffa Island. This district in the center of Zurich is also known for its good cuisine, including Irish pubs, casual student hangouts and a variety of international restaurants and small shops. Other highlights of the district include the Rote Fabrik, a former factory that has been converted into a performing arts center, and the quirky local museum Wollishofen.
