Der Name Urbida stammt aus dem romanischen und bedeutet soviel wie „gut aufgehoben sein“. 1970 wurde die Urbida AG als erste ausschliesslich auf den Immobilienmarkt spezialisierte Treuhandfirma im Gebiet Flims Laax Falera gegründet. Im Jahr 2002 erfolgte ein Generationenwechsel. Seither wird die Firma durch die einheimischen Inhaber Pascal und Claudia Langhi erfolgreich weitergeführt.
