Undoubtedly, the Hirzbrunnen quarter is one of the most popular residential areas in Basel and, with around 3 km², the largest quarter in the Canton of Basel-Stadt. With its many single-family homes, housing cooperatives, and smaller multi-family houses, the perfectly developed Hirzbrunnen quarter has a charming village character.
Hirzbrunnen has the largest proportion of green spaces of all Kleinbasel city quarters. These areas consist mainly of a green belt along Allmendstrasse and the "Langen Erlen", one of the few local recreation areas in Basel-Stadt with its forest area along the Wiese River, including a zoo.
Binzenstrasse, with its individually designed single-family homes and large gardens, is a small neighborhood street that extends from Allmendstrasse to Käferholzstrasse.

The three-story middle row house at Binzenstrasse 21, built in 1944, was inhabited until the end of July 2025 and is in very good structural condition. After a comprehensive renovation in 1997, the charming single-family house has been continuously expanded and modernized since 2003. In addition to the renovation of the bathroom and kitchen, high-quality wood-aluminum windows were installed, the heating was replaced, and the attic was expanded in combination with an increase in the roof structure.
A special highlight is the developed basement with sauna and shower, as well as the sunny elevated terrace in the front area of the property with plenty of privacy and all-weather roof.
The single-family house offers enough space for the modern small family with a total usable area of almost 150 m² (including basement) and its low-maintenance outdoor area.
The single-family house is completely cleaned and is basically ready for occupancy without major renovation work.
