The detached spacious single-family house 'Ca' Colomb' built in 1898 is located on the sunny southern side of the Alps in Soazza/GR - and offers various usable spaces on three floors:
On the ground and entrance floor, there is a large room facing south, which can be used as a studio or living space.
The heated laundry and technical room with wardrobe and storage space is conveniently located directly opposite the entrance door.
On the first floor, there is a sunny (living) room facing south with an antique soapstone stove, adjacent to a bedroom and an ensuite bathroom with bathtub and toilet.
The kitchen with dining area has direct access to a cozy courtyard with seating and is also located on the first floor.
The intermediate floor has a day toilet.
On the upper floor, there is a spacious salon-like bedroom (which could be divided into two rooms) with direct access to the terrace overlooking the San Martino and a second bathroom with shower and two sinks.
The attic currently serves as storage space.
Another, third outdoor space, the private garden, is located opposite the main entrance door - separated by the little-trafficked village road - and offers an additional dining area and a sunbathing lawn in the green with a view of the mountains of Misox.
The private garage directly at the house and the parking space in front complete the unique ensemble.
Ca'Colomb is a historic house and therefore also a kind of time document: As far as possible, the antique wooden floors made of wide spruce boards were preserved during the complete renovation; the stone slab floors and stairs, the thick rubble stone walls, and the door frames and door leaves remain as they always were.
The roof is covered with the original old stone slabs. The antique windows with the unique fittings have been preserved. The renovation was carried out with ecological care everywhere, and all walls were plastered with lime and painted with lime paint; the facade received a traditional lime plaster - preserving the character and the extraordinary atmosphere of the house was of utmost importance: It is a place for people who appreciate such details.
All sanitary fittings are from Dornbracht, appliances from Boffi and Agape, the kitchen with copper covering and linoleum interior is an exclusive custom kitchen.
The house is heated with a heat pump; those who like to make fire can heat the original soapstone stove in the living room from the kitchen.
It can be purchased as a primary and secondary residence.
The house has been placed under monument protection after the renovation.
