The Carrosserie Pfister AG from Herisau has created a new production facility in 2024 that meets the latest technical requirements and allows the company further growth in terms of workload, variety of offerings, and number of employees.
Furthermore, the production processes will be improved, the social areas for employees will be adapted to today's standards, the customer area will be upgraded, and more covered parking spaces for customers, replacement vehicles, and staff will be offered.
Formal Design:
In designing the outer building shape and facade, reference was made to the design of a car body. The building is intended to be associated less with Venturi's "duck" and more with the "decorated shed" concept, where a driver can recognize at a glance what is produced inside based on the exterior design.
The grooves and edges, as well as the uniform, shiny surface and dynamic shape of a car, are incorporated. Through tapering window bands, grooves, and edges in the cladding facade that absorb daylight differently, as well as the curves that have arisen from the circulation inside the building, the body shop is reflected in the external appearance of the building.
