The Alfred Müller AG intends to gradually convert the Lauématt industrial area into residential and working opportunities in the coming years. Currently, the site houses the operational buildings of the former copper wire insulation works (KIW) as well as a small hydroelectric power plant that produces electricity for the area.
In December 2020, the renovation of the listed factory building of the Indienne printing company Laué, now the Lauématt commercial building, was completed. The three-winged building has been transformed into simply furnished rooms for businesses and service providers from various sectors.
The municipality of Möriken-Wildegg consists of the two districts of Möriken and Wildegg. The Lauématt area is located on the eastern edge of the Wildegg district, has a high industrial historical significance, and is easily accessible for customers and employees by public transport and individual traffic.
