The village of Zeneggen is perched above the Rhone Valley at 1200 meters and offers a primary school from kindergarten to sixth grade and right next to it a village shop with bistro and a restaurant. The city of Visp is located down in the valley. It can be reached by car in 15 minutes (local residents claim they can do it in under 10 minutes). Visp also offers everything one could wish for from a small town: shopping, gastronomy, culture, and services. The advantage of Zeneggen is clearly the location. In summer, it is not nearly as hot as in the valley floor, and while the village is sun-drenched, it is not as exposed to sunlight as the southern slope of the valley. Furthermore, the valley cut towards Saas and Zermatt offers a magnificent view of the Mischabel group and thus some of the highest mountains in Switzerland.
