Rothrist is a municipality in the Zofingen district of the canton of Aargau. Rothrist has around 8,500 inhabitants. There are around 3,800 jobs in Rothrist.

The municipality has excellent transport links and is located on the A1 motorway between Zurich and Bern, the most important motorway in Switzerland, near the two junctions with the A2.
