The listed community house Kriens from 1912 is being brought back to life: Where once offices were, eight spacious apartments and an atelier in the basement are being created. The focus of the renovation is on the interior, while the facade and roof will be preserved.
The apartments will have modern kitchens with resin fronts and granite countertops, easy-care tiled floors in the bathroom and entrance area, as well as real wood parquet in the living areas. Some historical strip floors will be preserved. A lift connects all floors – from the basement to the 3rd floor. Each apartment has its own washing machine and a cellar compartment: additionally, two drying rooms are available for communal use.
The community house will be part of the proven GWAK housing concept "Living in Old Age in Kriens," which is already successfully implemented in the neighboring Lindenpark. The offer is therefore mainly aimed at individuals, couples, or people in the third stage of life who are looking for new living space tailored to their needs after the family phase. Care services can be individually obtained from Spitex Kriens or other providers.
