In Contone, on the flat and large plot, in a quiet, residential and sunny area, a complex of 12 independent villas is being built in two typologies: 7 units Villa A and 5 units Villa B.
All modern units have the privilege of being independent, with a favorable orientation from east to west and an optimal southwest orientation of the terraces and private gardens.
Each villa has its own exclusive plot with a private garden: The Villa A has gardens of about 80 m², thus large enough for leisure activities and to cultivate one's passions in gardening, but at the same time easy to maintain due to their limited area.
The villas, highly insulated and compliant with CECE Class A regulations (Cantonal Energy Certificate for Buildings), offer a very pleasant living climate and promote environmental protection thanks to very low energy consumption.
Heating and cooling are provided by an air-water heat pump, which is powered by a generous supply of photovoltaic panels. All this allows for high energy independence and controlled heating and cooling costs.
For the above-ground floors, the use of the STEKO construction system is planned https://www.steko.ch/metanavigation/home/ (wood blocks filled with insulating cellulose flakes). Ecological, from renewable sources and fully recyclable, it also significantly contributes to environmental protection.
This system was developed and patented by Prof. A. Steurer of the Zurich Polytechnic and is produced entirely in Switzerland.
Thanks to the lightness and elasticity typical of wooden structures, the earthquake performance is also very high. Finally, the provision for the electric charging of vehicles in the covered parking spaces also promotes the philosophy of sustainable housing.
