The village square of Anzère under renovation: a hub of activities and leisure
The pedestrian village square allows your children to play safely. In summer and winter, you can enjoy a playground, numerous free activities, and shops nearby.
The new project for the 2 cable cars:
To improve the comfort of customers in the ski area and to relieve congestion with the Rousses slope, one of the most popular in the ski area, a new detachable 10-seater cable car is planned.
The route of the new installation is slightly different with an extension of the line downstream to better distribute the flow of skiers in the ski area and allow for better use of the slopes in the sector. Since these are existing, they will not undergo significant modification. This new investment aligns with the desire to develop four-season tourism.
The lower station will be located 400 meters above the start of the Grillesses chairlift. The location being on a flat area, it requires little earthworks and no clearing. In terms of technical characteristics, the length of the installation will be 1746 m for a height difference of 580 m. It will allow a flow of 2000 people per hour and a transport time of 5.87 min with a speed of 6m/s.
And what next?
In a second phase, a mechanical lift connection from the village to the Grillesses would guarantee access to the ski area even in unfavorable weather conditions. The top of the ski area would then be directly accessible from the village!
These new installations would ultimately also facilitate mobility in the village, by offering new parking areas near the ski lifts and reducing the use of private vehicles and the number of shuttles in the resort.
Moreover, to modernize the ski lifts, the 3-seater chairlift of Rousses could also be replaced in the medium term by a new cable car. This would facilitate the transport of sleds on the dedicated slope and allow for a harmonious development of the Rawyl region with a significant reduction in CO2 impact.
