The two "Vineyard Villas" are earth houses oriented towards the lake with terraced facades made of natural stone – vineyard walls, with green roofs and three discreet outdoor seating areas embedded in the topography.
The wonderful views of Lake Biel, Peters Island, and the Alpine panorama are available from all rooms and living areas, as well as from the outdoor seating areas. The terraces and interiors are well protected from view, thanks to the terraced architecture and the recessed, larger glass fronts.
Since in Ligerz, as the only village on the south-oriented Bieler Lake shore, both the highway and the railway (from 2027) are relocated into the mountain, only the old village road and (from 2027) a bike/pedestrian path instead of the railway line lead between the property and the lake. This largely frees the village from traffic noise, and the lakeshore is directly accessible, just a few steps away.
At the level of the old road, there is a direct, level entrance to the parking and access hall. From there, a separate elevator goes directly to the two residential floors for both units. The use can be individually adjusted and distributed over the floors, with the room layout tailored to the needs.
Construction is to be done both outside and inside with high-quality natural building materials. The solid construction has the best energy properties and is supplied with heat via the Ligerz network.
