This old, partially converted and renovated farmhouse is located in Champoz, a small village with about 160 inhabitants, bordering Bévilard, in the Tavannes valley, 10 minutes from Moutier. From Champoz, the booming city of Biel is only 30 minutes away and Basel is reachable in 1 hour.
The following video gives an interesting insight into this beautiful region https://youtu.be/9Ncs8I4hTnQ?feature=shared
Champoz is known for its smoking house, which also showcases local products in a rustic setting. The village is also appreciated as a starting point for many hikes on foot, horseback, or by bike, in an untouched and quiet region.
This beautiful farmhouse, which was known a few years ago for its proposal of guest rooms, now consists of two apartments that will be available from October 1st. These have been partially converted and renovated and are in good condition. The building is listed as a historical monument and is worthy of preservation, but can be converted with permission. A small outbuilding of 55 m2 on the ground, an old barn, is not protected and can therefore be converted or reconstructed as desired.
The ground floor apartment consists of 9 rooms, including a large living room and a spacious kitchen with a bread oven, a bathroom with a bathtub and toilet, as well as two showers with toilet and sink. It also has a large vaulted cellar of 38 m2, suitable for good wine storage and parties with friends!
The upstairs apartment features a very large living room with beams from the 1790s with a fireplace, a roof kitchen overlooking a large dining area, two bedrooms, one with a mezzanine, and two showers with toilet and sink.
This property has an additional large cellar, but also many storage rooms, an old stable, a barn, a chicken coop, and a paddock surrounded by plenty of greenery.
A garage and many parking spaces complete this spacious and atypical property.
I am available for any further information and for a visit.
