Look forward to your neighborhood
The residential building at Furli 2 in Seelisberg is located at around 580 meters above sea level in a beautiful location.
Access to the house is from Seelisberg (village | mountain station of the cable car) via Treibstrasse down to Volligen (about 10 minutes).
Passing by green landscapes and the well-known restaurant Volligen, the route continues along the idyllic Schwybogenstrasse directly to the house. You can also reach the house by boat from the Treib stop on foot.
The view of Lake Lucerne with views of Pilatus, Bürgenstock, Rigi, and Mythen is enchanting.
The climate is mild and quite fertile. In midsummer, it can get pleasantly warm with 12 to 14 hours of sunshine.
The Spreitenbach, which runs directly by the house, meanders quietly and picturesquely through the landscape and marks the boundary to the property and the canton of Nidwalden.
Your new home
The historic Furli house was probably built around the year 1600 and is thus one of the oldest preserved residential buildings in the canton of Uri. Although a dated inscription is missing, architectural details such as the artistically decorated connections in the paneling of the wooden living room clearly indicate a construction period around the turn of the century 1600. Over the centuries, the house has been continuously maintained, expanded, and carefully renovated. Testimonies of this include inscriptions from the years 1970 and 1983, the comprehensive renovation of 1993|1994, and the newly developed attic from the year 2010.
Those who live here immerse themselves in the atmosphere of past centuries – a unique piece of Uri construction history that combines the charm of bygone times with the dignity of age.
On the ground floor, you will find a cozy living room with a traditional tiled stove as well as a separate dining room with an old cooking area (Tiba stove) and a newer kitchen (installed in 1994). The kitchen with an inviting dining area is practically designed, and an adjacent storage room offers additional space. A bathroom with shower and toilet completes the space offer. The covered outdoor seating area invites you to linger – with a beautiful view of the greenery or the lake.
The upper floor offers four flexibly usable rooms as well as a bathroom with bathtub and toilet. Particularly inviting are the cozy arbor and the adjacent arbor room – perfect retreats for relaxation. In the attic (developed in 2010), there is another room, an attic with storage space, and a spacious bathroom with daylight.
The attached wooden shed from 1889 now serves as a practical garage. In the basement, there is a cellar with a workbench – ideal for DIY enthusiasts.
The forecourt with a fountain and the idyllic garden seating area with a fire pit and a view of Lake Lucerne complete the harmonious overall picture. Here you can enjoy peace, nature, and an incomparable view.
