Humlikon is located in the beautiful Zurich wine region between Winterthur and Schaffhausen and politically belongs to the municipality and district of Andelfingen. The landscape is characterized by picturesque vineyards, Irchel, Cholfirst, fields and forests. About 500 people live in the village. The village center is 440 meters above sea level. Humlikon offers a quiet and rural residential location with a high quality of life.
Children attend schools in Humlikon (currently there is a kindergarten, a 4th and a 6th grade) and in the neighboring village of Andelfingen, which is served by a school bus. The Humlikon schoolhouse is in operation, but it changes annually depending on the number of students. For secondary school, young people travel to Winterthur. In addition, the Heilpädagogische Schule (HPS) of the Andelfingen district is located in Humlikon. Children and adults attend the music school in Andelfingen.
From Winterthur, Humlikon can be reached in about 10 minutes by car via the A4, and in 15 minutes by public transport (SBB/Postauto). Humlikon is located on bus line 675 between Henggart and Flaach and on bus line 677 between Andelfingen and Flaach. Winterthur, Zurich and the airport are reachable every half hour with bus 675 and train S33 or with bus 677 and trains S16 and S12.
The cozy house is located in the center of the pretty village of Humlikon in a quiet and sunny residential location. The bus stop is a few steps away. Shopping facilities are available in the surrounding larger communities, shopping centers invite you to shop in nearby Winterthur or Schaffhausen.
A beautiful recreation area is right on the doorstep and invites you to hike, bike and relax. In the nearby Thur, swimmers and water rats will find their leisure experience. In addition, Flach with the Rhine is very close and Schaffhausen is also quickly reachable.
