The terraced house was built around 1980. Over the years, various renovations and extensions have been carried out, including the roof renovation and the installation of a thermal solar system in 2010. In the same year, the two bathrooms were also renovated (including underfloor electric heating), a fireplace was installed and the pitched roof insulated. In 2012, the windows were renovated including composite roller shutters and the interior of the attic was completed. In 2022, a modern wood pellet heating system was installed, and in 2023, eternit plates on the roof were replaced (south side).
The building was constructed using solid construction methods, with the foundation walls largely consisting of brickwork and partly concrete. The gable roof is covered with eternit and the facade combines exterior plaster and wood cladding. Heating is via a central wood pellet heating system (built 2022), which distributes heat mainly via radiators. In addition, a fireplace in the living room provides a cozy atmosphere.

The ski areas in Elm and Braunwald are just a few minutes away by car. Both in summer and winter, the Glarus Süd region offers a wide range of leisure and sporting activities in beautiful natural surroundings. Infrastructure such as schools, public facilities and shopping facilities are mostly located in Mitlödi, Schwanden and Glarus, which are within easy reach by car. The cities of Zurich and Chur are about an hour away. The train stations in Schwanden and Mitlödi are just a few minutes' drive from the house.
