Location and accessibility
The small, picturesque mountain village is located at 1,483 m above sea level at the very beginning of the Saas Valley. Saas-Balen has been changed the least by the tourist boom. Saas-Balen is accessible all year round via a very well-developed road or by public transport (post buses run all year round from Brig to Saas-Fee, every half hour during peak times).
The 3.5-room apartment (built before 1921) is located in the village street of Saas-Balen. The grocery store and the bus stop are within walking distance.
Description of the apartment
The cosy and bright apartment on the 1st floor with 83 m² of living space is, like the house, in a well-maintained condition. The apartment was completely renovated in 2018. The entrance area has a utility room that offers enough space for a washing machine. The bright living room is equipped with a pellet stove, which provides cosy warmth on cold winter days. The heat distribution is via radiators. The natural daylight creates a pleasant living climate. The master bedroom has a spacious built-in wardrobe. The floors are mostly made of wood laminate and tiles in the bathroom. From the kitchen there is direct access to the small balcony. The two terraces on the east side offer enough space for a cosy seating area.
Two cellar compartments as well as an additional bedroom with WC on the 2nd floor, which can also be used as a hobby room, round off this interesting offer.
The car can be parked in the public parking spaces, only a 2-minute walk away.

General information about Saas-Balen
The townscape in this village is still dominated by the typical old, sun-blackened Valais wooden houses. The historic round church and the impressive Fellbach waterfall, over 40 metres high, are unmistakable attractions in Saas-Balen. The mountain village has a small ski lift, a natural ice rink and a toboggan run directly in the village. In winter, the cross-country ski trail starts in Saas-Balen and extends over 26 km along the Saaser Vispa to Saas-Almagell. The Free Holiday Republic Saas-Fee/Saastal offers a huge hiking network of 350 km, a wide range of adventure activities, as well as an all-year-round ski area (Saas-Fee) and the winter ski areas Hohsaas and Saas-Almagell.
