The Apartment
The light-flooded 2½-room apartment on the southern slope of Birmensdorf is a beautiful retreat for those who want to live close to Zurich but still in the green.
The south-facing windows let in a lot of light into the open apartment. From the balcony adjacent to the living room, there is an excellent view over Birmensdorf towards the opposite forest.
Over the last 30 years, the apartment has been continuously renovated. It is visually modern and technically up to date.
The apartment also includes an outdoor parking space located directly next to the building.
The House
The multi-family house is located slightly outside the village center on a beautiful sunny slope. The development, in which the apartment is located, includes 2 multi-family houses with 9 residential units each, which are accessible via 4 separate entrances. Always 4 or 5 units share basement rooms, a laundry room, and other ancillary rooms.
The neighborhood in which the development is located is well connected to public transport. The bus stop can be reached in 6 minutes on foot, and the Birmensdorf train station in 13 minutes. Also, somewhat hidden, the highway access is in the immediate vicinity.
You don’t have to go far for shopping either. On foot, you can reach a Denner in 11 minutes, and it takes 5 minutes by car to get to Migros and Coop.
The Village
Birmensdorf is a rather rural village near the city of Zurich. Located in the Reppich basin, the municipality connects the Limmattal with the Säuliamt. The village covers an area of 1142 hectares and is the largest municipality in the Dietikon district in terms of area. Birmensdorf is a scattered settlement and includes various neighborhoods around the old village center.
The village has a well-developed bus and S-Bahn network and is close to the highway access. Interest in living in Birmensdorf has increased significantly in recent years. This has led to increased construction activity, which has greatly changed the once rural image of the village characterized by farms.
Today, the more than 7,000 residents have plenty to do. Birmensdorf offers an exciting and varied leisure experience with a vibrant community life and several restaurants. If you prefer to spend time in nature, there are many options available as well. Forests, various biotopes, and streams or the Uetliberg are easily accessible on foot.
For shopping, the village has a Coop, and in the adjacent Uitikon, there are Coop, Migros, and Denner.
