From 15.07. a single cluster with an area of about 30m² will be available. It has a room of about 20m², a private bathroom, a small hallway, and a small balcony (Cluster B on the floor plan). The rent including utilities is CHF 1025. Additionally, there are 200 CHF per month for basically everything you need in terms of groceries. Since the apartment is a cooperative apartment, a share capital of 13400 CHF is to be paid upon moving in, which you will of course get back in full when you move out. However, this should not be a hurdle, so if you fit in with us, we will surely find a solution if you do not have enough money saved up.
We are a colorful community of 10 adults between 23 and 40 and a 2-year-old child. We enjoy active communal living and support each other wherever necessary, but of course, we also respect and appreciate our personal spaces. We have dinner together almost every day (deliciously prepared by 1-2 people for everyone who is at home), the groceries for this are ordered and bought together (mostly vegan and organic), and we share various vegetable and dairy product subscriptions from local solidarity farms.
In bi-weekly WG meetings, we continuously develop our ideas of communal living.
We share a large kitchen, two living rooms, two large balconies, and much more on about 400 m². In addition, our apartment has six double and single clusters. The cooperative area has common rooms such as a workshop, a sauna, a co-working space, etc. that we can use. The village character of the Hunzikerareal offers a lively life with various events outside our apartment, and there are many neighborhood groups in which one can get involved. Furthermore, the area is car-free, meaning you are not allowed to own a car (unless for professional purposes).
We are looking for a person who can imagine living in a communal large shared apartment in the medium to long term. Ideally, you already have some shared living experience. In addition, we expect you to share our fundamental values and actively contribute to our shared apartment and also to the Hunziker area. This includes, among other things, a reasonable and regular contribution to the shared household (cleaning, cooking, etc.).
To maintain a balanced gender ratio, we are explicitly looking for a female roommate or a FLINTA* person. If you like our description, feel free to write us who you are and what is important to you in communal living. It would also be good to know if you can imagine cooking for everyone once a week, that you do not have a car, and whether you can finance the share capital yourself.
We look forward to hearing from you :)
