Single room for rent - 8952 Schlieren

Hi!

We are looking for a tenant (NO COUPLES) for our bright and spacious spare room in Schlieren. You will have access to a private WC but shared shower and bath. The room is fully furnished including towels, pillows, sheets etc... Of course you are welcome to customise as you would like and use your own or buy your own!

The rental period is for 4 months (until October 15th).

The flat is located less than 5 minutes from the train station with trains to Zürich HB every 15 minutes. Rent includes utilities (except electricity) and the annual radio fee. All other expenses are split. You will also be in charge of keeping your room and bathroom clean and tidy.

We are looking for someone who is quiet, respectful, kind, okay with pets (specifically dogs), okay with kids (babies and toddlers) and understanding of stricter hygiene standards when sick as we both are in contact with high-risk kids. Priority given to women, particularly LGBTQIA+ and/or BIPOC. We also are looking for someone 25 and above. Ideally comfortable or fluent in English and non-meat eating. If not vegetarian, please be aware that we will specifically ask you to keep all your kitchenware separate and we will not be willing to share utensils, plates, etc. due to potential cross-contamination.

We do have a dog who can be quite anxious at first but will warm up quite easily.

We are a vegetarian, lesbian couple who are engaged and understand how difficult it is to find lodgings in Zürich, especially as a minority. We have been fortunate enough to find this lovely and spacious flat and would be thrilled to share it with a like-minded person. One of us works full time (as a private nanny) and the other studies full time and works part time throughout the semester. We like to keep a clean and tidy space and respect each other and our neighbours. We both speak English fluently, with one of us being an expat and the other having lived in the UK. We don't speak German (but are learning) and we could also communicate with French or Romanian.
