Single room for rent - 8126 Zumikon

We are a well-established 2-person flatshare looking for a new flatmate starting October 1st, either for six months or long-term.

Our flat is located in peaceful Zumikon ZH, just 20 minutes by public transport from Zurich Stadelhofen. The quiet village vibe is ideal for winding down after a long day. It is a bright 4.5-room apartment on the ground floor. The available room (C) is about 11 m2, gets sun all day, and has a direct view into the garden. It fits a 160x200 bed, wardrobe, and desk. Bed frame, wardrobe, and desk can be rented with the room if needed.

The apartment also includes a large fridge, oven, stove, and dishwasher, shared storage space in the basement and attic, and a washing machine in the basement shared with the rest of the building.

I am Timo (29M), Swiss-American, born in Zurich. I run my own start-up and previously worked in healthcare. I'm very social and enjoy shared living: cooking together, watching movies, listening to music, gaming, having a drink, or going to a techno party. I also host social events in Zurich, coach floorball, and manage DJs (I used to be a DJ and producer myself).

Hugo (28M) works as an Apple Specialist on Rennweg and is currently funding his business studies. He is Swiss-Portuguese, born in Portugal, and a passionate gamer.

We're not a flatshare just for splitting rent – honest, open communication and a friendly vibe matter to us. You should enjoy being part of the WG life, whether it's BBQs, game nights, or just hanging out. If you're the type to always stay locked in your room, this probably isn't the right fit.

We also have a cleaner who comes once a month. That is not included in the rent.

Rent is 829 CHF per month. There's a one-time fee of 33 CHF for premium Wi-Fi (the apartment is big). Electricity (EKZ) is billed every three months. Serafe (TV/radio tax) is billed yearly.
