Co-Living Runa grow together, stay individual
Runa is a community of currently 21 people aged 5 to 87, organically grown since 2005. The longing to live in harmony with nature and in a real community connects us. We are guided by values we have developed together, we ask ourselves essential questions of life and we consciously, mindfully and respectfully shape our life together. We live in three houses with large natural surroundings with animals, by a small stream in the immediate vicinity of the forest and a 10-minute walk from the train station and shops. Runa is neither politically nor religiously bound. All residents bring their own lifestyles and fields of work – and it is precisely this diversity that makes life in Runa so vibrant. Together we have:
• monthly organisation & community days
• 4 working days per year for environmental work and building maintenance
• working groups (currently garden, construction, administration, events, vision and family)
• spontaneous activities such as shared meals, excursions, game nights, etc.
Legally, Runa is a housing cooperative. After an introductory period of 2 years, membership in the cooperative takes place with CHF 20,000 shares.
The Matterhaus – the WG
The WG is located in a spacious house with a large living room, 5 rooms and 2 bathrooms on approximately 150 m² of living space and extensive grounds. Currently three people live there together – two of them will soon move out, so 1–2 new roommates are being sought.
The room distribution will be viewed together, the total rent including utilities is CHF 2,400. People are sought who...
• are between 30 and 45 years old and want to actively participate in WG life
• are tidy, clean and structured
• see housework as a matter of course
• want to contribute to Runa life in a self-responsible and proactive way
Levin – quiet Matterhaus resident with a sporty drive and good-natured dog
Levin is 33 years old, works as a social pedagogue in the penal system and has lived in the Matterhaus for 3 years. He appreciates WG life, but also needs retreat and time for himself. In his free time he enjoys being sporty – whether paragliding, hiking or in the gym.
Rayli, a 10-year-old pug – friendly, quiet and loyal everyday companion – also lives in the house. Other pets are possible by arrangement.
If you feel addressed, please write us in a short letter of motivation who you are, what is important to you in living together in a WG and why you are interested in living in a community.
