In the midst of nature, in the recreational area between Hinwil, Dürnten, and Bubikon with its magnificent floral splendor, perfectly oriented to the south, with a free 180-degree panorama over the natural meadows to the Alpine panorama with the snow-capped mountains on the horizon, stands our stately, bright, gently fully renovated half-timbered house from 1514. One of the oldest houses in Hinwil, built robustly by the brewer Hürlimann at that time. The Mediterranean climate in the south garden on the spacious terrace with the climate-appropriate fruit tree culture of the neighbor West reminds of the flair of southern Switzerland. On this small island of intact nature, one feels the freedom and the expanse and feels like in another world. Extremely many original elements of the house have been preserved and refreshed, combined with modern elements. The wonderful original wooden plank walls in connection with the original stately massive beams and the original rubble stone masonry, all carefully renovated, give the house with its high rooms for that time a special touch, paired with the beam, visible inside and outside, inside each cassette has been gently equipped with Haga insulation plaster. Where possible, only natural products were used, down to the clay paints. Only the new kitchen is standard. The house is heated with wood. Alternatively, there is a strong channelled pellet stove, with which the house can be heated. For those who lack the time to heat with wood, the rooms are heated using the great Redwell heating system.
The location is perfect. On the one hand surrounded by nature, away from urban density stress, far from concrete giants with their stressed masses of people, on the other hand, the always traffic-free highway entrance Kreisel Betzholz towards Zurich, Rapperswil/Chur is about a minute's drive from the house. One is immediately on the Forch highway A52 and in no time in Zurich/Surroundings. On the north side, the lightly trafficked Oberhofstrasse with the two spacious outdoor parking spaces next to the house.
The train station Hinwil and the train station Bubikon are 2.5 km away. The Aussenwachten school for grades 1-6 is located 400 m from the house. The widely known fine restaurant Rotenstein with a great garden seating area and large parking lot is just under 500 meters away. Hinwil's infrastructure is good, almost everything is available. A variety of smaller shops, cafes, restaurants, Migros, Denner, Coop supermarket, Jumbo, etc.
