The holiday home Vista Casti is a holiday residence and is not subject to the second home law, located on the ski slope side in the village of Riom.
The property is built of stone and today has a 3-room apartment with 5 beds and a garden seating area on the ground floor.
On the 1st floor, there is a 2 ½ room apartment with 4 beds and a mass storage of an additional 3 sleeping places in the attic "Adlerhorst".
The view from the balcony allows for a dreamlike, unobstructed view of the mountain world. The apartment is equipped with a fireplace, dishwasher, and TV/WLAN, which allows for a pleasant stay.
The house is not basemented, has a large, long (9m) garage, and two outdoor parking spaces.
Extensions in 2003:
Until spring 2003, the holiday home was a 5-room house with an apartment. Through significant changes, an extension to two independent apartments was achieved.
Both apartments have a separate outside entrance and are additionally connected internally by a staircase. This change allows both apartments to be rented separately, but also for two families who want to go on holiday together, yet wish for their own privacy/apartment.
By creating the 9m long garage, the lawn area of the lower apartment could be significantly enlarged and beautified.
Surroundings:
Savognin is located on the Julier Pass road between Chur and St. Moritz and is a year-round holiday region.
In winter, the 11 ski lifts bring tourists up to an altitude of 2713 m above sea level.
The downhill network of groomed, also artificially snowed slopes amounts to 80 km. The Vista Casti property can be reached directly with skis when there is enough snow. (100m on foot).
In summer, the large parking lot of winter sports enthusiasts is flooded, creating a wonderful swimming lake (pictures). The combination of swimming lake/parking lot is referred to as "the idea of the century".
The village of Riom, built by the Romans, is located on the ski slope side. It is served by the post bus service, and for daily needs, there is a grocery store (Volg), a post office integrated into Volg, as well as a restaurant.
The two-family house, built in 1973, is located on the eastern edge of the village of Riom, a little above the municipality of Savognin.
The surrounding houses are all inhabited year-round and not used as holiday homes, so there is no expectation of empty, abandoned houses even in the off-season.
The premises are oriented to the south and provide a wonderful view of Savognin, the mountains behind it, and of course the castle "Vista Casti / means: view to the castle".
