The residence is located near the main traffic routes and yet very quiet, as it
is accessible via a cul-de-sac.
The residence presents itself as a uniform volume, but the different orientation
of the residential units guarantees privacy and independence.
Due to the privileged, elevated location, excessive shading by the
neighbouring buildings is also avoided.
The construction consists of two above-ground levels and a basement.
From the elegant entrance to the underground car park, one reaches an open courtyard, which provides
natural light and where the four entrances to the residential units
are opposite each other.
The ground floor is completely dedicated to the living area and includes an open
living room with kitchen, a bathroom with washing machine connection, an entrance area
with wardrobe and a practical storage space under the stairs, usable as a storage room or
storeroom.
On the first floor is the sleeping area with a master bedroom and two
single bedrooms and a bathroom which is equipped with a shower, bathtub and bidet.
The basement offers spacious, covered parking spaces, with provision for an electric
charging station, for each apartment. There is also a shared bicycle room, a
technical room and private cellars with provision for a laundry room.
The supporting structure consists of reinforced concrete and brickwork. In the underground car park the
concrete structure will remain visible, while the upper floors (living areas) will be fitted with an
external insulation cladding in a complete thermal insulation system.
The interior walls of the apartments are planned in plastered brickwork.
Heating is via underfloor heating. The energy is generated by an air-water
heat pump, which also serves for cooling in summer, therefore air conditioning units are provided in all living rooms.
The pitched roof of the residential complex will be equipped with a photovoltaic system which will
cover the electricity requirements of the common areas, including the generation of
hot water, heating and cooling for the entire residence. This system allows a
significant reduction in operating costs.
Each residential unit has a covered terrace and a garden.
