The property is the former hay barn of the Engadine house in front of it. The hay barn was converted into a multi-storey single-family house in 1992. The building is located in an open and unobstructed location in Tarasp and offers a sensational view of the village, Tarasp Castle, and the surrounding mountain panorama.
The entire property is classified as a legal second home.
The location of the house is absolutely quiet and unobstructed. Below the residential building, a large piece of land belongs to the property. The plot covers a total of 1,979 m2 with a garden and a large green area on the valley side. In the slightly sloping building, the main living areas are located on the upper floor.
On the second floor, there are three bedrooms.
In the basement, there are two cellar rooms. One is equipped as a shelter and serves as an archive. The second can be used as a storage room, e.g., as a wine cellar. A second natural cellar is located on the ground floor.
On the ground floor, there is a laundry room, a technical room, a natural cellar, and a wellness room equipped with a steam bath, a shower, and relaxation loungers.
The attic is partially developed and offers the possibility for various uses.
Below the house, there are two garages in a wooden extension. They are connected to the house.
Location in Tarasp
The village of Tarasp consists of 10 separate hamlets. The center of it is Tarasp Fontana, which is majestically dominated by Tarasp Castle. In addition to the picturesque Lai da Tarasp, the village offers a compact, well-preserved Engadine village core and wide landscapes around it. The property is located at the upper end of Tarasp in an open, sunny location with a great view of the village and the valley. From here, wonderful hikes can be undertaken in summer or snowshoe tours in winter.
Only 350 meters from the house, there is a cooperative store with a post office, and a few meters further is the PostAuto bus stop to and from Scuol.
The Lower Engadine is the home of Schellenursli, but also one of the most diverse bike regions in the Alps and a starting point for numerous hikes, including in the Swiss National Park.
