Intergenerational Living – flexible, sustainable, and future-oriented
In the heart of the up-and-coming Obfelden, a modern residential development called <> is being created, which harmoniously combines encounter, retreat, and community. Here, generations live side by side – in a neighborhood that allows for both closeness and individuality.
- Intergenerational living
- Quietly located, perfectly connected
- Generous, open, exclusive
The three planned 6½-room single-family houses in Obfelden combine spacious living with a flexible concept for all life phases – ideal for families, couples, or as a multi-generational house. Currently usable as a single unit, the attic can later be designed as a separate apartment – perfect for grandparents, young adults, or for rental. A lift connects all four floors and enables comfortable, barrier-free living – today and in the future.
The living concept allows for shared use of spaces, promotes social exchange, and saves costs in the long term. It adapts to different life situations, whether in the case of family growth, age-appropriate living, or new forms of housing.
The project also focuses on sustainability in construction and technology: The houses are built using prefabricated wooden elements, entirely from wood products without obstructive films. The dark, thermally treated wooden facade blends harmoniously into the surroundings. Photovoltaic partial areas on the roofs and high-quality clay tiles ensure an energy-efficient and aesthetically pleasing building envelope.
The heating is provided by floor-to-ceiling flat panel radiators. A heating system with an air/water heat pump or an optional connection to the environmentally friendly wood chip heating system of the municipality is planned.
