In the historic, unspoiled center of Golino stands this stylishly renovated patrician house built in 1683 with 5.5 rooms. A large entrance hall, a romantic courtyard, beautifully preserved wooden ceilings, and several fireplaces make it a rare example of traditional Ticino architecture. The house is suitable as a holiday or main residence and is ideal for families and couples who appreciate life in the midst of a quiet Ticino village.
From the spacious entrance hall with granite floors and vaulted ceilings, one enters the living room, dominated by a large fireplace. The rustic, cozy kitchen on the ground floor has a man-high stone fireplace, a large bread oven, and is an ideal place for family meals and social gatherings. Through glazed double doors, one enters the courtyard with the fountain and granite table, where life takes place in the summer. An external staircase leads to the upper floor, consisting of two bedrooms (one with a fireplace), an atrium, and a bathroom with a granite bathtub. An internal staircase leads to the second floor with two more bedrooms, which can also be used as an office or studio, and a bright marble bathroom with shower. Behind a mirrored door are the washing machine and dryer.
The underfloor heating in the kitchen is powered by the fireplace and supplemented electrically. The rest of the house has electric underfloor heating and radiators. The thick walls keep the temperature consistently cool in summer. The impressive vaulted cellar is ideal for storing wines.
In front of the house are two parking spaces, which is unique in the village center. A beautiful river bathing beach can be reached in a few minutes on foot. The Losone golf course is 4 km away.
