The property, built around 1838, stands alone on the edge of the preservation zone and overlooks the wide valley towards the southeast. Despite this privileged location, the center of Andeer on the other side of the Hinterrhein can be reached in a few minutes' walk via a covered wooden bridge.
The sustainably managed municipality of Andeer impresses with numerous original farmhouses and patrician houses, as well as a grocery store, a bakery, a cheese dairy, and various restaurants. The village is a popular starting point for climbing tours and hikes to crystal-clear mountain lakes, the Viamala Gorge, and the marmots in the Averstal valley.
Or let yourself be tempted by cultivated relaxation and bathing pleasure. The healing power of the local spring water was already appreciated in the early 19th century by illustrious guests from all over the world. The Hotel Fravi, which emerged from the former spa hotel, is still an important institution in the social life of Andeer today. Since 1981, the mineral baths have been expanded with various indoor and outdoor pools.
