The municipality also includes the pre-Alpine areas of Finnen, Wang, and Wyer. Eggerberg has about 340 inhabitants. The neighboring municipalities of Eggerberg are Baltschieder, Naters, Lalden, and Ausserberg. The mountain village is very well accessible all year round via the well-developed road and public transport (post bus and BLS).
