Single room for rent - 8049 Zürich

I'm looking for a new housemate for our shared apartment in Höngg, Zürich, with a move-in date expected by June 1st.

The apartment is about 80m2 in total and shared between two people. The rent is 1,100 CHF per month, which includes everything except electricity and internet. It's located on the second floor and has 2 balconies (one of them quite spacious and facing the mountains). The flat also includes a single bathroom, a bright living room, a great kitchen, a dishwasher, and a large fridge with a freezer. There's a private storage room in the basement, and shared washing machines. Underground parking spaces can be rented for an additional fee.

The apartment is in a quiet and green area of Höngg (8049), with bus line 46 nearby, which goes directly to Zürich main station. ETH Hönggerberg campus is also easily reachable by bike (about 10 minutes). Your room is around 12m2. The attached floor plan is from a similar, mirrored flat in the same building. The room will be emptied, with the option to buy the bed from the previous roommate. Some furniture in the apartment will leave with the departing housemate, so there will be definitely space to bring your own and make the place feel like home right away!

A few words about myself and the kind of housemate I'm looking for: My name is Julien, I'm 29 years old, originally from France (I speak both French and English), and currently working at ETH as a postdoctoral researcher. I enjoy running (there are great forest trails right next to the house!) and swimming, so during the week I usually spend my free time between sports and relaxing or cooking at home. On weekends, I like going cycling or hiking in the mountains. Since my partner lives in Geneva, I'm typically away about every second weekend.

As someone approaching his 30s, I value a clean and tidy home that feels comfortable and relaxing. I'm friendly and outgoing, and I enjoy a good chat or a shared meal now and then, while also respecting the need for personal space and quiet moments.
