Single room for rent - 8006 Zürich

Hello :)

We - Marion & Matthias - are looking for 1 new roommate for our 3-person shared apartment in a fabulous house in District 6 - move-in date flexible, unfortunately limited until the end of February 2026.
People of all genders and sexual orientations are warmly welcome (LGBTQIA* & Kink friendly).

This is about a 14 sqm large room in the ground floor apartment of the house built in 1945 - with the corresponding old building charm. The room is - unlike shown in the picture - not furnished.

The common areas include, in addition to the living room, kitchen, bathroom & toilet, a mansard room in the attic that can be used by the shared apartment as a guest room or bodywork/retreat space. There is also a spacious cellar room and a large attic compartment as well as the use of the front garden area.

On foot, you can reach the Rigiblick cable car stop in 7 minutes - where there is a Migros, a pharmacy, and a bakery - and from there reach the main station or the airport in 20 or 30 minutes. After 7 minutes in the opposite direction, you are in the forest on the Züriberg.

We look forward to a rather quiet shared living experience, preferably with diverse visits from other people.
Marion: I have been living in the city of Zurich again for three months and enjoy riding my bike or walking through the city. Currently training to be a bike mechanic. I love being at home and am often out and about or with my partner. I enjoy cooking, and I am always working on at least one DIY project. I like to sit in cafes and read the newspaper, enjoy going to the theater and the cinema, and look forward to the next hiking holidays.
Matthias: I am quite often on the go, otherwise I often work from home, enjoy cooking, but sporadically :), like having guests and often invite people who present their work in Zurich to stay for a few days in connection with my work. I once studied literary studies, did production work in Berlin for an ensemble for contemporary music and for a dance company. I run a x- & kink-positive label that deals with bodies, intimacies & emotions in various formats in workshops, art & theory. And I love nature - I really need to get outside more! :)

As for the new roommate, we initially have no fundamental preferences regarding age or occupation, even though we are close to creative, humanities, art & cultural work, as well as bodywork topics. It’s great if we share interests. We can’t really relate to party people who want to fully experience the (intoxicating) Zurich club life and possibly bring it home.
