Your Room
Your beautiful, bright room is located on the left side of the apartment and overlooks the north of Uster, where the sun rises.
The room has its own balcony and is equipped with electronically controlled blinds. It has a size of 13.2 m2. Half of the basement space can be used, and a parking space can be rented additionally.
The Apartment
Penthouse attic apartment on the 11th floor with a breathtaking view over Uster (including lake view), located just one minute on foot from Uster train station and 14 minutes from Zurich main station.
I am looking for a new roommate for this beautiful apartment, as my current roommate is moving out.
The entire apartment (101 m2) has light parquet flooring and is built to a modern standard. It features a private loggia with elegant dark stone flooring. There are two bathrooms, one equipped with its own washer and dryer, and the other with a bathtub.
Furnishings
The apartment is fully furnished and includes many extras such as air conditioning and automatic vacuuming and mopping robots, which means less housework ;)
That said, we can also re-furnish or redesign the apartment together if you would like, I am completely open to that.
The apartment is fully equipped and offers everything from kitchen appliances to TV to pots and pans.
There are electric shutters and balconies all around the apartment. Beautiful views of the lake, castle, church, and the entire city of Uster.
You are welcome to use all shared living spaces, including the loggia, equally.
Location
The apartment is just a one-minute walk from Uster train station. It takes 11 minutes to reach Stadelhofen and 14 minutes to Zurich main station. By bike or bus, you can reach Lake Greifensee in 5 minutes, perfect for cooling off on hot summer days.
Plenty of shopping options, lots of nature, and still a city feel, that is what Uster offers.
Right next to the apartment, you will find various shops for nearly everything. A car is not needed. The Coop at the station is open daily until 22:00, and the McDonalds next door feels like it is always open.
Who am I
Your future roommate Jan (27) is studying Banking and Finance and works at a financial institution.
I work a lot, do sports, or play piano and usually get home late, I am often out and about. You will probably see me most often when I am cooking, which, I have been told, I am pretty good at.
I value cleanliness and rarely host parties at home due to neighbors. I am open to rearranging or redecorating the apartment.
Who I am looking for
You should be between 23 and 30 years old and have a job or other steady income.
No language stay or short-term stay. Minimum 1 year or longer.
Gender does not matter, what is important is that you are tidy and value order.
This should not be a purely functional shared flat, it should be a good fit overall.
Aside from basic house rules, there are no regular roommate meetings or similar expectations, we can easily stay out of each other's way if needed.
Costs
The utility costs vary depending on usage.
Historically, it has been about CHF 70 per month extra per person.
So in addition to rent, you can expect around CHF 70 per month per person. It is hard to estimate precisely, as energy prices have fluctuated significantly in recent years.
Electricity, WiFi, and garbage collection are not included.
These add about another CHF 60 per month.
