LOCATION
The old town and train station can be reached in 5 minutes by bike and 10 to 15 minutes on foot. Near Rychenberg Park, music school, forest, Goldenberg. Bus stop (No. 10) right next door.

ROOM AND HOUSE
The available room is 10m2 and is located on the 1st floor (with a nice window facing east). You will also receive another half room on the ground floor (separated by a curtain; on the other side wardrobe) of 8m2. Each room has a spacious built-in wardrobe, which you can fully utilize. You will share the bathroom and a separate toilet with two roommates on this floor. The room height is 2.8m.

The house is over 100 years old, detached, and has 3 residential floors that we share among five of us. It offers plenty of space and rooms for encounters, as well as retreat options. The house has a garden with the possibility to grow crops and cozy places to linger, several seating and lying areas, and a fire pit.

Common areas in the house: laundry room (washing machine and dryer), workshop, basement storage rooms, an atelier, a small living room, a large living room, and an adjoining dining room (including wood stove), kitchen (with dishwasher), and a balcony. There are 2 separate toilets, a bathroom with toilet and shower, and a separate bathroom with bathtub. Additionally, 5.5 individual rooms.

Included in the 860.- rent: rent, internet, control and maintenance of heating/fireplace, water, sewage, electricity, Serafe, subscription to the tenants' association, subscription to IG-Rychenbergstrasse, MrGreen subscription. Also included: money for garden expenses, purchases, unforeseen events, reserve.

Move-in from July 1 (later or earlier move-in possible by arrangement).

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
You are generally over 30, interested in encounters and a life in and around the house. For you, Winterthur is not just a place to sleep.

You are willing (or would like) to invest part of your time in the community. You are aware that an old house with a large garden (which we lovingly but pragmatically maintain) requires more of your time than living in an apartment.

WHO WE ARE
Current roommates are Daniel (32), Franziska (33), Pascal (35), and Steffi (33). Daniel is a traffic planner and is often found in the garden, in the mountains, or at the climbing gym in his free time. Franziska is a physicist and works in tech. She enjoys good food and company, likes books, and has a drum set in the basement. Steffi is a dance and movement therapist and particularly enjoys spending her time in the forest or garden, (unfortunately a bit less often) petting bushes or pottery. Pascal is training to be a psychotherapist. He particularly appreciates the proximity to the forest and the view from Goldenberg. Steffi and Pascal have been a couple for eight years and each have their own room and role in the shared flat.

Our community ideal: The community should be a place where everyone feels comfortable and can be themselves without worries. It should be a warm atmosphere where dissent and direct communication can still have a calm place, personal and collective development is possible, and where we support each other. Whether this is the case in active exchange or in quiet togetherness.

We value shared meals, which are almost exclusively vegetarian, and have a common household fund.
