The semi-detached house with a basement apartment is located in the best location on the Basel Bruderholz on a private road directly at the edge of the forest.
The house was built from 2015 to 2017 by Buol & Zünd Architects and was awarded by the city of Basel in 2018 with the award for good buildings.
The largest of the three residential units comprises 4.5 rooms and has a separate entrance and direct access to the garden at the edge of the forest. In addition, a parking space in the carport in front of the house and a roof terrace with a great view over Basel belong to the property. Through the entrance area with shower/WC, one enters the dining area with kitchen, which opens to the garden. The living area is slightly separated and elevated by a few steps.
The internal staircase leads to the basement with washing-drying tower and the upper floor with the three bedrooms, as well as access to the roof. The bathroom has a freestanding bathtub and a shower. The toilet is located in a separate room.
The interiors are all finished in a greenish clay plaster, the exterior facade in a mineral plaster. The floor coverings are ceramic hexagonal tiles on the ground floor and parquet floors in the bedrooms on the upper floor.
The view from the living, dining, and bedrooms directly into the trees is dreamy.
