Behind the Ennenda train station, in the neighborhood <<Wiese-, rows of houses were built in the 19th century for employees of the then industrial village. With their typical main and back alleys, the terraced houses still form a striking landmark in the townscape today.
The general renovation of a corner house was recently completed, the 5.5 rooms of the apartment are spread from the first to the second floor up to the attic. The expansion is of high quality and is entirely based on the standards of modern living. At the same time, many wooden elements ensure that the original flair has been preserved.
The new, modernly designed wooden staircase leads from the ground floor up to the first floor, where a bathroom and the largest room introduce the living concept. Hallway and rooms are equipped with parquet flooring, the wide planks bring liveliness and atmosphere into play with their appealing wood structure. The bathroom impresses with its elegant color concept, the large tiles make the room attractive, the equipment includes a bathtub, toilet, washbasin with cabinet, and a washing tower. Next to the washing tower is a glass door to a terrace, so the uncomplicated and environmentally friendly hanging of laundry outdoors is another bonus.
On the second floor, there are three smaller rooms, which have massive and beautiful visible beams that offer much to the eye. The local bathroom sets special accents, large tiles in a gray-beige pattern contrast with smaller tiles in a wonderful blue-anthracite pattern. The equipment includes an open, ground-level, and glazed shower cubicle, toilet, and double washbasin with cabinet.
The living experience is completed in the attic, where a cleverly chosen room layout creates enough space for the connection of an open kitchen and living area. The freestanding cooking island with an extractor hood is complemented by built-in elements integrated into the wall, oven, and refrigerator, while the adjacent kitchen counter offers a sink and dishwasher. In the living area, visible beams on the ceiling and wall create special comfort elements to make it individually and cozy under the roof. Finally, the glazed access to the terrace should be mentioned, where the views can wander all around the Glarus Alps.
