In the lively Matthäus quarter, you will find a lovingly renovated residential complex that combines affordable living with neighborly togetherness. Eight houses with a total of 50 apartments are connected by a green courtyard, a retreat where, after the completion of the overall renovation, people can play, laugh, and grill.
In addition to the idyllic courtyard, a community room will also invite for exchange and lingering in the future. The tenants will be actively involved in the design and use of the space.
In this versatile and lively community, we are renting out a freshly renovated 7-room apartment in the back house, which combines the charm of the old building with contemporary living comfort. The apartment extends over two floors and is excellently suited for a shared living arrangement due to its thoughtful room layout. A total of 6 separate rooms as well as a spacious living and kitchen area are available.

Utilizing solar power for electricity and heat from the own system
A modern photovoltaic system will soon provide environmentally friendly solar power on the roof. The tenants form a community for self-consumption (ZEV), allowing them to benefit from lower electricity prices. The additional demand is easily covered by IWB, which also handles the electricity billing.
Important note:
Renovation work in the courtyard is still ongoing and is expected to be completed only in spring 2027. In addition, the opposite row of houses will be extensively renovated in 2026. Therefore, dust and noise emissions should be expected during working hours.
The property is not wheelchair accessible and there is no elevator.
Minimum occupancy: This apartment has a minimum occupancy of 6 people. The occupancy of 6 people must be maintained permanently.
Rent contribution: Tenants with low income have the option to apply for a rent contribution of a maximum of CHF 100.-- per month from the Habitat Foundation. Information, requirements, and regulations can be found on our homepage (Rent contributions)
