The project plot is located slightly below the original core, which first housed a residential house built around 1868, then became the workshop of the painter in 1904.
The painter Frédéric Rouge (1867-1950) lived there for a large part of his life. The existing building that remains is located on the northern boundary of the property, allowing today to extract a portion of land on the southern part, which is the subject of the present construction project.
ICOMOS (www.icomos.ch) as well as ISOS (federal inventory of built sites of national importance to be protected in Switzerland) list the historical qualities and values of the site.
It is specified that the master property "Les Cèdres" and its outbuildings, upstream of the plot, are also offered for sale for the price of CHF 3,950,000.00, making a total of CHF 4,950,000.00 for the property and the land, its outbuildings, and the building permit (free of mandate).
