LUXURIOUS DREAM WOOD HOUSE MADE OF NORDIC PINE

The expansion of the wooden house itself was comparatively a piece of cake and the easiest and fastest part of the entire planning and construction history: The precisely prefabricated wall elements were delivered on time to the construction site and assembled within days by the manufacturer's carpenters. "We relied entirely on Fullwood and are thrilled with how smoothly everything went," says Cilgia Plate. Before the house was built, the couple first had the green area prepared and let the floating floor slab rest for half a year. After a short expansion period, "Chalet Cilgia" could then be occupied, and everything was immediately beautiful and cozy, even outside. "For the interior design, we exclusively engaged regional specialist companies - they are quickly available if something should happen," argues Joachim Plate.

ONLY THE BEST OF EVERYTHING

Only the latest building technology should be in the wooden house, such as the code-controlled locking system with chip key for the front door; up to modern security technology, which even alerts the security company early in case of a refill need for the pellet storage. "Everything has turned out wonderfully, and we feel completely comfortable and very safe in our house. The entire technology is easy to operate from the inside, and all rooms are easy to maintain. My main work area is the large garden - while gardening, I can wonderfully let my soul dangle," raves the lady of the house. And because maintaining a large garden swimming pond would have been very labor-intensive, the Plates simply decided on two small decorative pool basins, like those found in high-class hotels, between the terrace and the garden. The huge terrace running around the entire house and the driveway were uniformly paved with lime sandstone from the area, as one wants to maintain the regional style.

SUBTLE WOOD HOUSE ARCHITECTURE WITHOUT ORNAMENTATION

Modern, bright, and airy is what the Plate couple wished for their dream house and therefore decided on a very spacious, open living-dining-cooking area with floor-to-ceiling windows all around, letting in plenty of daylight. They combined the bright pine wood walls with white plastered stud walls and sand-colored floor tiles, crowned by a high, open roof structure with a slight slope. Nothing presses or constricts. And despite the many brightness and spaciousness, the sensual wood, which creates a healthy room climate, evokes a pleasant sense of security. Even outside, the angular bungalow is smooth, bright, and simple and receives the necessary grounded weight from the roof covered with dark brown clay tiles. Wooden window frames in the same warm, calm brown structure the modern look and provide a harmonious contrast to the bright pine wood. To keep the wood permanently bright, it was treated with UV protection inside and additionally painted with weather protection outside. The exterior paint used even contains a few white pigments to minimally lighten the pine tone and is purely an optical protection that preserves the wood from graying. For the lifespan of the house, it would not have been necessary. The angle of the bungalow opens wide to the southwest and forms the frame for a protected terrace spoiled by the sun. The long living-dining-cooking area and the study benefit from the abundant light inside. In the adjoining, east corner of the house, the two-sided floor-to-ceiling glazed bedroom is kissed awake by the morning sun. A welcome visual barrier for the private area consisting of the bedroom, living-bath, and dressing room is provided by the cleverly positioned garage. Through a glazed corridor, it is connected to the residential house, so that Joachim and Cilgia Plate can reach the house from the car with dry feet in any weather. The garage is followed by the heating room with the large pellet stove and the laundry room; and should it ever be necessary in many years, the building can be converted into an apartment for nursing staff. The triangular area created between the residential house and the garage is cleverly utilized by the lady of the house for her garden design skills - the view from the bathtub onto this courtyard-like paradise delights the eye from now on.

REASON, FUNCTIONALITY & ENJOYMENT OF BEAUTY

With an eye on old age, the Plate couple planned their bungalow to be completely barrier-free and with wide doors as well as comfortably accessible shower. No tripping hazards prevent the transition from inside to outside and vice versa. Everything is easy to maintain, and the window areas are easily accessible. Hospitality is also highly valued in "Chalet Cilgia": A beautiful guest room with an attached large guest bathroom is always available. It is accessed through a door from the hallway, which is separated from the kitchen by a cleverly built room divider. This not quite ceiling-high room divider looks like a smooth wall with built-in shelves made of pine beams from the kitchen side, but in fact, it contains a spacious wardrobe that is equipped with doors and a large mirror on the hallway side. From the hallway, another door leads to the necessary guest toilet, while the living area opens straight ahead without a door to the entering person. The view can wander unobstructed through the room and up to the ridge beam and beyond to the outside. One feels simultaneously inside and outside, protected and free. Each door leads from the kitchen to the glazed sluice to the garage, from the dining area to the study, and at the other end of the house from the sofa corner to the bedroom. This is followed, as described, by the bathroom and a large walk-in closet, which also contains a large mirror. However, this serves not only to check one's appearance, but cleverly hidden behind it is the building technology. Everything is perfectly thought out in "Chalet Cilgia". The underfloor heating works well in cold and heat, as it can be used not only for heating but also for cooling. The former hotel manager is mainly responsible for the exceptionally beautiful decorations and furnishings in the house. With great attention to detail, she has selected and equipped everything. "Fortunately, my husband and I have the same taste, which makes decisions easier," she beams. With so much harmony, only a beautiful house can come out of it!
