Location and Accessibility
Guttet-Feschel is located in the sun mountains in the district of Leuk - in the heart of the Valais Alps and part of the Pfyn-Finges Nature Park. It is situated on the sunny side of the valley and offers an enormous view of the breathtaking mountain scenery. The mountain village is at an altitude of 1,000 - 1,300 m above sea level on a sun terrace overlooking the entire Rhone Valley. Access by public transport is via train to Leuk, followed by the bus of the Leuk-Leukerbad and surrounding transport services (LLB) from Leuk train station to Guttet and Feschel.
The rustic Walliser house is about 20 meters from the public parking lot in Feschel next to the community house.
Description of the House
The house presents itself with solid masonry and a wooden structure on 3 levels, covered with an Eternit roof. The building is in good general condition, considering its age. Access to the house is via a narrow stone staircase.
In the basement, there is a practical country cellar that is ideal for storing supplies. The ground floor, which is directly accessible from the stone staircase, has a large bathroom with bathtub, toilet, sink, washing machine, and hot water boiler. A cozy bedroom offers space for family or guests.
The upper floor is reached via a wooden door that allows access from the stone staircase. Here there is a covered entrance area that provides enough space for firewood. Next to the entrance, the stone base of a collapsed barn has been preserved, which is now used as a storage room. This room can also serve as a studio or hobby room. On the roof of the storage room, there is the possibility to create a seating area.
The apartment, which is accessed via a stone staircase, has a kitchen and a cozy living room with a soapstone stove that is heated from the kitchen. A wooden staircase in the kitchen leads to the attic, which offers space for sleeping and relaxing. The view from the window provides a breathtaking view of the Valais mountain landscape. The bathroom with bathtub, toilet, and sink, as well as a covered loggia accessible from the bathroom, complete this interesting offer.
The garden on parcel No. 2160 (see site plan) invites you to linger and is suitable both as a seating area and for growing vegetables and flowers.

The area of Guttet-Feschel offers not only diverse variety in a fascinating landscape but also a climate characterized by dryness and many sunny days. Guttet was first mentioned in documents in 1261 as "de gottet". The mountain village on the northern slope of the Rhone Valley near Leuk included, in addition to the center, the hamlets "Grächmatten" and "Wiler". Feschel was first mentioned in documents with the name "Vexil" or "Veselli", which means hill or mountain. The village is located on a prominent hill spur.
For centuries, Guttet and Feschel were independent municipalities. But for centuries, Guttet and Feschel have also represented common interests externally. The residents of both municipalities have always been strongly connected in social life, which ultimately led to the merger in 2000.
