Wila is located in the district of Pfäffikon, in the canton of Zurich. The extensive nature-oriented recreational area as well as the diverse, active club life offer residents opportunities for varied leisure activities. This village setting, together with kindergarten, primary and secondary schools, provides the best conditions for the harmonious development of children and young people. Young and old feel at home here. This is even more so as attractive workplaces in Winterthur and Zurich are practically at the doorstep. The connection to public and motorized transport infrastructure is also noteworthy.
Tax rate: 125% (excluding church tax)
The generously designed single-family house is located on the southern edge of the village of Wila in a small residential area without through traffic. Within walking distance are the bus station, the train station, the school for all age groups, shopping facilities, and other infrastructures. The Töss with its kilometer-long riverbank path is only a few steps away from the house.
The S11 provides direct connections between Wila and Zurich-Stadelhofen and Zurich main station.
Anyone who occasionally drives through the village of Wila on the Tösstalstrasse may be left with the impression of the dominant church, the striking timber construction of the old post office, or various Flarzhäuser, which convey a slight hint of the Wild West. Behind this backdrop lie quiet residential areas and hidden scenic beauties in small side valleys, which are sought after and want to be explored. The surroundings of the village are surprisingly rich in nature conservation objects, some of which are of inter-municipal importance, such as the reed landscapes of Rodweid and Schneggenwald, the dam ponds behind Rosenberg, at Mülibach and in Boden, or the Arsbach-Giessen near Talgarten, which is hardly known even to locals.
Wila is located in the Tösstal between the municipalities of Turbenthal and Bauma. To the east, the municipality borders the canton of Thurgau and to the west, the municipality of Wildberg. Hamlets in the immediate vicinity of Wila are: Schalchen (SW), Tablat (SO), Aegetswil (O), Au (S), and Sitzberg (NO). The five hamlets represent typical settlement sites in the Tössbergland. Like Wila's center, Tablat and Au are valley settlements, while Aegetswil and Sitzberg are terrace settlements on the Hörnlikette, with Sitzberg (with its own church and famous organ) belonging to the neighboring municipality of Turbenthal.
