Moutier, still Bernese but about to switch to the Canton of Jura, is a quiet place to live, with all the advantages of a city (primary schools, secondary schools, vocational schools, shops, doctors, swimming pool, ice rink, riding stable, tennis, etc.), without the disadvantages of a large city. Moutier and its region also host numerous significant companies and industries. At the foot of Mont Raimeux and Graitery, the area offers many opportunities for walks for outdoor activity enthusiasts.
The villa, built in the 1950s and regularly maintained, is very well-kept, clean, and healthy. Its large volume easily accommodates a large family with 6 good-sized bedrooms. Its location in a cul-de-sac provides a safe and quiet environment for children. Furthermore, it benefits from optimal sunlight and a very beautiful, unobstructed view of the Graitery mountain and the surrounding green space.
The ground floor welcomes visitors in a bright, pleasant hallway, from which one can access the laundry room, a toilet, the technical room, a cellar, and the garage (with automatic door). A first bedroom (to be renovated) is also present here. It allows for the establishment of a home office or makes a teenager happy who is looking for a bit of independence.
The first floor consists in the west of a large "day" area with a large dining area and a partially open kitchen. The current configuration allows for easily fully opening the kitchen to modernize and expand it. The living room was created in 1969 by an extension of the house. One thus enjoys a very spacious living room with a fireplace and outside access. The "night" area of the first floor is located on the east side and includes 3 bedrooms and a modern shower room/WC.
On the second level, one also benefits from 2 additional bedrooms as well as a shower room/WC. A habitable hallway can accommodate an office or even a small kitchen, as all connections are provided in this sense. This floor could thus become an area for creating guest rooms, housing students, or any other project.
Finally, the outdoor areas offer a very intimate terrace on the north side with a fireplace grill. A staircase then leads us to a small, well-sunny fruit garden, where a second terrace is available. One can imagine the installation of a Nordic bath here, where one drinks a glass of champagne while admiring the superb view! On the south side, on the ground floor, one also benefits from a beautiful covered terrace and a small terrace protected by a lush wisteria.
Ultimately, this large house benefits from a pleasant charm (visible beams, timeless floors) and does not require major renovations to feel comfortable here.
