Moutier, still part of Bern but in the process of being attached to the canton of Jura, is a quiet place where life is good with all the advantages of a city (primary schools, secondary, vocational, shops, doctors, swimming pool, ice rink, riding school, tennis, etc.), without the disadvantages of a large city. Moutier and its region also host many large companies and industries. At the foot of Mont Raimeux and Graitery, there are many walking opportunities for outdoor activity enthusiasts.
Built in the 1950s and regularly maintained, this villa is very well-kept, clean, and healthy. Its large volume will easily accommodate a large family thanks to its 6 spacious bedrooms. Its location in a cul-de-sac offers a secure and calm living environment for children. Furthermore, it benefits from optimal sunlight and a very beautiful unobstructed view of the Graitery mountain and the surrounding greenery.
The ground floor welcomes visitors into a pleasant bright hall from where one accesses the laundry room, a toilet, the technical room, a cellar, and the garage (automatic door). A first bedroom (to refresh) is also available here. It will allow for the installation of a home business or will delight a teenager seeking a bit of independence.
The first floor consists, to the west, of a large "day" area with a large dining space and semi-open kitchen. The current configuration easily allows for completely opening the kitchen to modernize and enlarge it. The living room, on the other hand, was created in 1969 via an extension of the house. Thus, one enjoys a very spacious living room with a fireplace and outdoor access. The "night" area of the first floor is located on the east side and includes 3 bedrooms and a modern shower/WC.
On the second level, there are 2 additional bedrooms as well as a shower/WC. A habitable hall can accommodate an office or even a small kitchen as all connections have been planned in this direction. This floor could thus become a space for creating guest rooms, hosting students, or any other project.
Finally, the exteriors offer a very intimate terrace on the north side with a barbecue fireplace. A staircase then leads us to a small sunny orchard where a second terrace is available. One can imagine here the installation of a Nordic bath in which one will sip a glass of sparkling wine while contemplating the superb view! On the south side, on the ground floor, one can also enjoy a beautiful covered terrace and a small sheltered terrace with a generous wisteria.
Ultimately, this large house benefits from a pleasant charm (exposed beams, timeless floors) and does not require major work to feel comfortable.
