Location and Accessibility
The pearl of the Alps is located on a high plateau in the Saastal. The tourist hotspot of the Saas Valley is situated at 1,798 m above sea level, above the neighboring villages of Saas-Almagell, Saas-Grund, and Saas-Balen. Saas-Fee is accessible year-round via a well-developed road or by public transport. (Postbuses run year-round from Brig to Saas-Fee, every half hour during peak times). The resort itself is car-free.
In an absolutely sunny location, at the end of Hanniggasse, this exclusive chalet stands, accessible via a stone staircase and a footpath from the valley station of the Hannigbahn. In the summer months, there is the possibility of supply trips via an asphalted mountain road above the property.

General Information about Saas-Fee
In terms of population, Saas-Fee is a village, while during peak seasons over Christmas, Carnival, and Easter, it becomes a medium-sized town with over 12,000 people. Although the resort currently has about 7,100 guest beds, it has managed to maintain the harmony of an attractive mountain village through sensible and tradition-oriented architecture.
The municipality is excellently awarded with the label "Healthy Community" and has made certain efforts in recent years, especially in environmental and sustainability issues. Thus, Saas-Fee is both an energy city and a member of the "Alliance in the Alps". Another plus as a tourist station is the "car-free" status. Both guests and locals park their vehicles at the village entrance and move around the village on foot, by bike, or with electric vehicles.
By the way: As a tourist destination, Saas-Fee is well connected by public transport from early morning (05:30 am from Visp) until late at night (from Visp 11:42 pm). On weekends, the post buses even run an hour later at night.
