Ways to and in Uster
Uster is mainly well accessible by train: Four S-Bahn lines regularly and comfortably connect the city with the surrounding area. The S-Bahn Zurich operates lines S5, S9, S14, and S15 to and from Zurich; up to eight trains run per hour. The journey to Zurich takes 12 to 15 minutes (S14: 23 minutes). The trains connect Uster without transfers to places like Niederweningen, Schaffhausen, or Zug. Towards Zurich Oberland, the S5 and S15 (via Wetzikon to Rapperswil or Pfäffikon SZ) and the S14 (via Wetzikon to Hinwil) run, with up to six trains per hour. On the nights from Friday to Saturday and from Saturday to Sunday, as well as before most holidays, the night train line SN5 operates – schedule see Zurich Transport Network (ZVV). A dense bus network optimally connects the outer districts of Uster and the neighboring municipalities. Uster is within the ZVV.
