I'm looking for a new tenant for my beautiful, bright room. It's around 12 square meters and has a very practical layout. I'm looking for a working person between 25 and 33 years old. It's important that you enjoy living in a community and participating in shared dinners from time to time. If it works out, more, of course :) We generally live by the motto "anything goes, nothing is necessary." It would also be great if you'd be interested in taking over some of the furniture (approx. CHF 100).
Our shared apartment has a large, modern kitchen with a dishwasher, oven/steamer, and ample storage space. We have two bathrooms, a large living room with a couch, TV, and games console, as well as a west-facing balcony with a large dining table, grill, and a small raised garden bed. In the basement, we have a laundry room with three washing machines and three dryers. You can do laundry at any time, and there's almost always something available. We also have a bicycle room. There are guest parking spaces in front of the house; an underground parking space is available upon request, and resident parking is also readily available nearby.
We live in the quiet residential area of Rütihof, very close to the Hönggerberg Forest (approx. 5 minutes). A small Coop supermarket is within walking distance (approx. 4 minutes), as is the Geeringstrasse stop (approx. 2 minutes), from which you can take the 46 bus to the main station in under 25 minutes, and in approximately 8-10 minutes to the Wieslergasse or Meierhofplatz stations, where you'll find a large Migros, two Denner supermarkets, Alnatura, pharmacies, and much more. The 89 or 485 take you to Altstetten station in approximately 10 minutes and to the Frankental station, where there's a large Coop and a bakery, in 2 minutes. The "Freibad zwischen den Hölzern" (open-air swimming pool between the woods) is also very close by (approx. 5 minutes by bike, not much longer by bus or on foot). The public transport system is really good, with buses running every few minutes, even on weekends. And for those looking to party: the Nightliner 4 runs from the main station via Escher-Wyss-Platz to Rütihof – pure luxury!
Currently living in the shared apartment, besides me, are Alice (a biologist, originally from Ticino; speaks Italian, English, French, and also German quite well; she has been subletting here since May 2024 and will probably stay until November 2025) and Valie (a psychomotor therapist, originally from Fribourg; she has been living in the shared apartment for two years). Louana (a hairdresser, cheerful soul, and true Zurich native who is returning to her hometown after some time abroad) will be moving in on June 1st. English is our common language in the shared apartment, but we also speak German or French among ourselves, depending on the situation.
We only consider applications that meet the age requirements. Please also write a few lines about yourself and what you expect from living together. Viewings of the shared apartments (in person!) will take place next week!
