Single room for rent - 8046 Zürich

We are looking for a flatmate in a 4-person shared house (with 4 chicken) from August 2025. The house is close to the Katzensee and has a garden in the front and in the back. The room is 11 m2, half-furnished, with a direct view into the garden. The rent is 773 CHF (1160CHF including costs and common food and consumable expenses). The common spaces include a large living room, a dining room, a small kitchen, a wood stove (where bread and pizza can be made), a pergola, a small pond, a large basement (with workbench) and many fruit trees. Heating is geothermal.

Esther (34) works in an NGO on water ecology, Francesco (39) is a field system engineer at an X-ray detector company (but studied geology/environmental science), Alex has a biochar startup.

We value very much community living and low-impact living by sharing food and being part of various food cooperatives (comedor – 4 times a year, biohof-lieli – weekly vegetables) to reduce our depencency on big distribution like coop and migros and co.

We are against the idea of "Zweck-WG", and like the idea of a WG where members are also friends and share activities share an idea of WG (garden, cooking) aside from just the address.
