Single room for rent - 8003 Zürich, Birmensdorferstrasse 141

A room in 3 Room apartment is available to rent in a very centrally located shared apartment in the heart of Wiedikon, Birmensdorferstrasse 141 8003 Zurich, from 9th June 2025.
Your room has a small balcony and there is also a bigger balcony facing Uetliberg where we sometimes grill in summer and bike in winter. The washing machine is shared with the tenants in the building but is always free and can be used anytime (just before 10 pm :p). We have a huge attic to store things.

Total cost: 1214(Room) + Internet + Heating + Electricity
Size of the apartment: 68 sqm.
Size of your room: 12.5 sqm.

Looking for someone who is working aged between 26-32 and is clean and tidy. Please only apply if you are organized and responsible to take care of the apartment and always clean up after yourself.

Non-negotiables:
•⁠ ⁠We have a bi-weekly cleaner coming to clean the flat every other Friday (appx. total 87 CHF).
•⁠ ⁠As the current flatmate is moving out, I am only looking for someone to buy his furniture and his share of the furniture we purchased together. It could be anywhere between 500 CHF - 2000 CHF, depending on what he leaves. I will find it out soon, but all the furnitures is good quality and fits the size of the room well.
•⁠ ⁠Since he will move out, I will have to buy some decor and furniture with things he takes for ex. plants, kitchen stuff, BBQ, some shelves etc. - Happy to discuss together and look at options on what to buy.
•⁠ ⁠The apartment is very decent size for 2 people. However, it can become congested if there are more than 3 people. If you have a partner or friends visitng from abroad, they are very welcome to stay but not for longer than 7-10 days.

About myself:
I am 27 year old guy living in Zurich for more than 5 years now and working as a Data Scientist. I am quite chill, but I am very organized and like a clean living space. I enjoy outdoor sports like biking, hiking, skiing etc and also hit the gym regularly. I am biking a lot these days and we also have an empty bike rack for you in the living room as my current flatmate will take his bike. So if you have a cool road bike you can have it. I also like to watch sports/shows in the living room and cook with my friends and flatmates. I love cooking and sharing food (unlike Joey). I will also be the main tenant of the flat.
